We recently took a short trip to Nashville (if you haven’t gone… Go now!) for a NASCAR race and decided to spend a day downtown walking the streets, enjoying the sights and shopping in the little trendy stores.
We stumbled upon this amazing little shop that had the most incredible candlestick holders I have ever seen. They called out to me. I immediately knew I needed them… but at almost $40 each (USD) I very reluctantly left them behind. Sigh.
In my mind I pictured them on my dining room table all gathered together (I obviously needed more than one. I was thinking 8-10 would be ideal). They were a fun way to add a pop of colour, while still being functional.
I always have a candle lit in my house. Its one of the first things I do when I get home. Shoes off, purse down, candle lit.
Let me tell you….Those candlesticks lived in my head for months.
I. NEEDED. THEM.
Fast forward a few weeks to a day out and about with the kids. We were having a fun day until I broke the news that we were going to Homesense. I promised them it was just going to be a “quick peek”.
Let’s be real, my kids know when it comes to Homesense there is no such thing as a “quick peek”. It’s usually a good hour with multiple trips down each aisle.
Thank God I brought snacks in my purse. Bribery at it’s best.
We were strolling the aisles when all of a sudden a ray of light shone down on me. I’m pretty sure I heard Angels singing.
I was in the candle aisle and there they were… the candlestick holders I have been drooling over for months. I FOUND THEM!
They were finally mine.. or at least 3 of them. Unfortunately, that was all they had. I grabbed them so quickly my kids looked at me like I was nuts.
The feeling that I had was PURE JOY. I love finding something that I know I have the perfect spot for.
I paid for them and knew what I had to do next… Find a few more at other Homesense stores immediately. Over the next few weeks I stumbled upon more of them, and bought them all.
All different shapes, colours and sizes. My collection was complete.
I cant remember the name of the store in Nashville (sorry), and we all know Homesense doesn’t have a shoppable site, but don’t worry… I got you. I found a few places that have similar, if not the same ones and linked them below for you.
Etsy – These ones have good reviews, not bad selection. Also supporting small business.
Shein – These ones are hard to beat as far as price, and a ton of selection.
